About me
Is Tanna who makes a mighty tasty Soylent Green

There was me - that is, Tannakitten, and there was my droogs - that is, Eddz, Toad, and Magenta, and about 30 other people I left out, and we sat in the Korova Milk Bar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova Milk Bar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence...

Art thoughts
Posted on 3rd Sep 2008 at 11:02 AMOhhh, school starts today. It's only an hour-long assembly, but it's going to be very nice to get back into things. This summer wasn't the most exciting (with the exception of Magenta coming to visit). I really need something to do, I think.
I've kind of been feeling low about my drawings. Last year there seemed to be so many of them. And they were all so pretty and colourful... this year, the output is less (easy to understand I suppose) but the pictures that I do produce all seem so dull and lifeless. And I have been sketching lots and lots over the summer, but I haven't fully CGed anything in ages! (I did illustrate a children's book, but I don't really count it because they style I used was very simplistic.)
I don't know why, it's lack of good ideas and motivation to do it. I've kind of lost interest in posting things up, which isn't too good because a good chunk of my motive is all the crits and comments that help me get better. (Yeah, I'm a comment whore. There, I said it.) Plus I'm really unsure of my style, it seems to waver all over the place. It'll be really Western one day and really anime-ish the next, then cartoony, scribbly, simple. I don't know. It'll probably be bad news sometime later if I don't stick to one style right now.
Another thing is that I'm kind of intimidated drawing on paper, like it won't turn out right or something. It never used to be like that before... maybe I just need to use traditional media more, most of the sketching I've been doing has been on the computer.
Maybe I'll look up one of those 100-pictures challenges to give me ideas... huh.
